ecoligo is working to save the world from the disastrous effects of climate change by connecting private investors with companies in emerging markets who want to switch to solar energy. When we started working with ecoligo, it was immediately evident how dynamic and inspiring their team was. Their brand did not have the same effect. They needed a brand strategy and new visual identity—followed quickly by a website—that communicated with the same passion as ecoligo’s people, and that conveyed the urgency of the work they’re doing to save the planet. Brand personality was a big win with these folks. For some teams, a custom brand archetype really resonates and is embraced with open arms. ecoligo was one of those teams.

Brand Story

Our planet is in trouble. To reverse the course of climate change, we’re going to need all hands on deck—individuals, government bodies and businesses; from the biggest corporations to the smallest companies; in the world’s largest economies and in emerging and frontier markets too. Unfortunately, in some countries, businesses that are keen to implement sustainable energy solutions often struggle to access the affordable financing they need to do so. 

That’s where ecoligo comes in. 

We connect companies in the global south that need financing for their clean energy projects with crowdinvestors who want their money to do good in the world. But ecoligo isn’t merely an intermediary between investors and solar-seeking companies. Instead, we provide solar as a service, which means we own and manage the energy projects funded through the ecoligo crowdinvesting platform.

Why does that matter? Because it allows us to provide unparalleled accountability and oversight to ensure projects stay on track—and deliver both the environmental and economic returns we’re after. Investors get a solid financial return, and our solar clients get an energy provider that’s fairer, more efficient and more meaningfully invested in the performance of each project. And besides being cleaner, our energy is also significantly cheaper, which can have additional economic benefits within our clients’ businesses and in their communities. A pretty nice bonus, we think.

Of course, the greatest impact of what we do is on the planet. We’re here first and foremost to save the world from the disastrous effects of climate change. It’s what motivates our team to show up and work hard, day after day. We’re proud to be part of a growing movement of companies innovating solutions to the most urgent crisis of our time. So far, our projects have prevented—or will prevent—over 330,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide from entering our atmosphere. That’s like offsetting 115,000 round-trip flights between London and New York.
