Agency Partner

The Destination Management Organization (DMO) for Vancouver’s North Shore hired local agency loki to produce a print and digital brochure promoting their destination as a place to host meetings and events. In turn, loki hired me. I wrote the content for the brochure, including drafting a letter from the organization’s Executive Director, which you’ll find below.

Where Wellness Comes Naturally

If you’ve ever spent a day in the woods, or atop a mountain, you’ve experienced the uplifting power of nature. And there’s plenty of science to back that up. 120 minutes in nature is enough to give most people a strong sense of well-being, according to one study. In fact, there’s a whole area of research that studies nature’s robust effects on people’s physical, mental and emotional health. According to Yale’s School of the Environment, companies of all kinds are increasingly considering the human need for nature in how they plan and operate. But what about where and how they gather?

With wellness listed as one of the Professional Convention Management Association’s top ten trends affecting the meetings industry, Vancouver’s North Shore is a natural choice for anyone looking for somewhere to hold meetings and other professional events.

Why? Because there’s nowhere better natured than here—which means there’s nowhere better to host gatherings that prioritize and promote the wellbeing of your most important asset: your people.

Vancouver’s North Shore is an ideal spot for smaller meetings, multivenue meetings and hybrid events. Events that marry work and play. It’s also a great place for you, or your team, to come a little early, or stay a bit late. Or, with so much adventure available right in our backyard, maybe both?

You’ll come back to work feeling refreshed, inspired and more productive. But don’t take our word for it. It’s science.

Welcome to Vancouver’s North Shore. Where wellness comes naturally.
